Know much about swarm season in Beekeeping:

By: Agim Godwin Apple Members of the African BeeFarmers Union, it’s a right thing to educate ourselves so as to benefit from every seasonal opportunity given by nature in benefit to boost our farms. Swarm season is one aspect that brings hope to beekeepers because it’s a period of which major colonisation of hives takes place. Honey bee swarm season is the time when honey bees reproduce and divide their colonies. It usually occurs in the spring and early summer months, depending on the region and climate. During swarm season, a portion of the honey bee colony, including the old queen and thousands of worker bees, leave the hive in search of a new location to establish a new colony. The swarm gathers together temporarily on a nearby object, such as a tree branch, while scout bees search for a suitable place to build a new nest. Beekeepers often capture these swarms to prevent them from settling in unwanted areas and to create new colonies in managed hives. For this reason, I advised that you should always service your hives and re-bet promptly with wax, be sure of bee safety by keeping the hives free from ants and other insects.
